Ozarks District Office

It is my real joy to share in the ministry of the Ozarks North District and great fun to introduce you to our life together. Ours is a district that runs geographically from Sunshine Street in Springfield, West to Miller and Stockton, North on Hwy 13 to Lowry City, North on Hwy 65 to Cross Timbers and Edwards, then East on Interstate 44 to St. James. We have 59 churches that range from an average of 5 to 1,125 persons in worship. Each week will see anywhere from 5,000 to 7,000 people in worship in our district.

Two of our churches are predominately and historically African American. We also host an Hispanic ministry called La Trinidad. Worship in our churches provides a great deal of variety, and on any given weekend you will find traditional, gospel, bluegrass, contemporary Christian, or even an edgy hard rock tune being played in worship.

In addition to the 23 churches served by full-time clergy, we have 36 churches served by part-time local pastors and lay ministers, all providing a depth of ministry and caring. I am so grateful for each of them. Together, in partnership with the many gifted lay persons who so sacrificially give of themselves, we are leading congregations to lead people to actively follow Jesus Christ. Together, we are making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!

If you are looking for a church for yourself or your family, it would be hard for me to imagine any better than those serving in the Ozarks North District. If I can be of any help directing you to one, please contact me. I’m eager to tell you about them and the great ministries and mission that is uniquely theirs.

God’s Blessings,

Bart Hildreth
